One year ago, First Draft Notebooks opened its virtual doors.
Our mission has always been simple: ensure every journalist and writer has a high quality and affordable notebook in their hand.
In the last year, our reporter's notebooks have been used by hundreds of journalists at some of the nation's largest news organizations: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Seattle Times.
Just as important, our notebooks are in the hands of reporters at smaller, local TV and radio stations, nonprofit news organizations and niche news organizations including Kaiser Health News and WSIL-TV 3 in southern Illinois.
We were more than happy to help Report for America put notebooks in the hands of their entire corps! And we loved helping a reporter make her wedding day special with custom reporter's notebooks as a party favor.
As we get started in year two, we have plenty of new things in store. Including this space, where we hope to showcase First Draft customers and the work they're doing.
